London, Jul 3: England fast bowler Jade Dernbach has been ruled out of the remainder of the five-match One Day International series against Australia with a side strain.
Dernbach's injury occurred during the second ODI at The Oval on Sunday, an England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) media release said on Monday.
A rehabilitation and recovery programme will be established alongside Surrey CCC in the coming days following further medical assessment.
A replacement for Dernbach will be announced following the third ODI at Edgbaston on Wednesday, the release added.
England are currently leading the series 2-0 after wins at Lord's and The Oval. They won the first ODI at Lord's by 15 runs and succeeded again in the second by six wickets.
