Mumbai, Jul 14: India's all-rounder Irfan Pathan feels West Indies are the team to watch out for during the ICC World Twenty20 2012 which is scheduled to be played in Sri Lanka in the month of September.
According to Irfan Pathan, happy to be back in the side for India's tour of Sri Lanka, following Vinay Kumar's injury, said, playing in Sri Lanka ahead of the T20 World Cup will help Indian players get accustomed to the conditions as the T20 World Cup will also be hosted by Sri Lanka.
The left-arm pacer, who was at Mumbai for the launch of the T20 World Cup trophy, said West Indies have been playing extremely well especially after the return of the Jamaican storm, Chris Gayle who has been in outstanding from ever since he returned to the ODI fold.
"West Indies will be the team to look out for as they are a pretty dangerous side in this format. Chris Gayle is an unpredictable batsman."
When asked who are the favourites to win the T20 World Cup, Irfan said the Windies are definitely progressing well and are a team to look out for, as the most explosive batsman Chris Gayle, a T20 specialist is playing for West Indies.
