Chennai, Jul 16: Indian cricket team is currently in Chennai for a two-day training camp ahead of their tour of Sri Lanka, as the cricketers reached the city on Sunday.
Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, Irfan Pathan, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina arrived on Sunday noon, MS Dhoni and other players reached late on Sunday.
Interestingly, the series marks the comeback of dashing opener Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan, who were rested for Asia Cup in March on fitness grounds.
The cricketers are in the city for a two-day training camp which is scheduled to start on Monday at 2.30 pm.
A preparatory camp ahead of the five match ODI series and a lone T20 international, Indian cricket team is expected to utilise this opportunity and get acclimatized to the conditions, as Lanka is also hosting the prestigious ICC World T20 in September this year.
The first ODI against India and Sri Lanka is expected to be played on July 21.
