Chennai, Jul 18: While there are mixed responses for the Indo-Pak series due in December this year, Team India skipper MS Dhoni has said that there is no room for sentiments while playing arch rivals Pakistan.
"We are professional cricketers. The series will have to be played and we have to get ready for it. Sentiment does not play any part since we are taught to be professionals on field," he told reporters.
Dhoni also added that the series against Pakistan will be tough for the players, though it is a short one, since it is squeezed in between a couple of tours as they have to be ready to play the arch-rivals in order to perform well against them.
"We have to be positive and we have to understand that we are representing the country. It will be a bit tough because of the hectic schedule but we have to do well against Pakistan also," he said ahead of the team's departure for the limited overs series in Sri Lanka.
India is scheduled to play three one-day internationals and two T20 internationals against Pakistan in December and January in the country after five years.
