New Delhi, Aug 13: India's off-spinner, Harbhajan Singh who was recalled to the national team for the T20 World Cup has got some support from India's vice captain and opening batsman Gautam Gambhir as he said the talented off-spinner's experience would be invaluable especially in the T20 WC which is expected to begin on September 18 in Sri Lanka.
Gautam Gambhir, who was in New Delhi said that the off-spinner's inclusion is sure to boost the team's confidence as he is an experienced player.
"I think he is an experienced player. We would need experience in such a big tournament and he would be very useful," Gambhir said.
Stressing on the fact that Harbhajan has been a quality player all these years, expect for the last few seasons as he has not been a regular member of the team, Gambhir feels he can still create an impact as his experience comes in handy during the T20 World Cup.
"He is a quality performer, has played 98 Tests, about 250-300 ODIs. If you are not talented then you cannot play so many matches. his experience would be invaluable in the T20 WC," he added.
