New Delhi, Aug 14: The fastest man on Earth, Usain Bolt, a famous sprinter from Jamaica who made a double at the recently concluded Olympics at London, might rock the cricket field soon as Australian great Shane Warne approached the Jamaican to play for Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League.

According to reports, the famous sprinter is likely to participate in Australia's domestic T20 tournament, Big Bash League starting this December.

Bolt also revealed that he was in touch with the Australian spin wizard Shane Warne, who had contacted him about playing for his team, Melbourne Stars.

Warne had also tweeted saying that the sprinter's addition would add more strength to the team.

"Cats out the bag, we've spoken. Olympic legend @usainbolt would like to have a crack at 20/20 for the Melb stars 2012 Please retweet guys," Warne posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Bolt earlier had expressed his interest in playing the Indian Premier League, and had also revealed that his cricketing skills are also quite good as he had dismissed the most dangerous T20 batsman Chris Gayle.

Bolt has been an avid cricketer since his childhood days, and admires Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
