Mumbai, Aug 17: Team India launched its new jersey created by Nike exclusively for the Twenty20 format at Mumbai on Thursday.

India's brand new T20 jersey launched

Team India cricketers Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli , Irfan Pathan, Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane were
present at the launch.

Yuvraj Singh, who was also present at the launch looked leaner and fitter on Thursday and when asked about how he feels to get back to action after recovering from a rare germ cell cancer, he said, he never thought he would get another chance.

"I feel as if it is the first game for me. I'm nervous. I never thought I will get another chance," Yuvraj said

MS Dhoni also said that the one and a half month break before the ODI series against Sri Lanka helped them regroup and rejuvenate.

"The team is fit, physically and mentally. Moreover, there were breaks between each game in Sri Lanka too," said Dhoni at the launch of the new jersey.

India's craze for cricket is a known fact. Moreover, people identify the format with the help of the jerseys the cricketers wear as it is different for ODIs and Tests. The recent move would ensure that Team India wears a different jersey for Twenty20 Internationals as well.

"When people swap television channels they see white and immediately know it's Test cricket. Blue is associated with one-day cricket. But now we have a different jersey for T20. There will be a strong association between the format and the shirt now," Dhoni said.

The dry-fit jersey would be 43% lighter than the regular jersey and is darker than the usual blue jersey worn by Team India, according to sources.

Team India recently launched a new jersey for training last month, with another jersey exclusively for Twenty20 format, the jerseys are sure to set a trend in the country.
