Bangalore, Aug 17: Yuvraj Singh will return to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) for training from Saturday, as he gets ready for the forthcoming Twenty20 International series against New Zealand and the ICC World Twenty20 2012.
The left-hander, who has been named in the Indian squad, has already had stints at the NCA earlier and will arrive in Bangalore on Friday night.
Yuvraj, who battled a rare germ-cell cancer and is fit again, is eagerly waiting to the international scene. He is likely to feature in a couple of domestic games before the New Zealand series.
The 30-year-old will play his first international match on September 8 against New Zealand in Visakhapatnam.
ICC World T20 will begin in Sri Lanka on September 18 and conclude on October 7. The 2011 World Cup hero hasn't played for India for more than six months.
Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar continued his preparations for the upcoming India-New Zealand Test series. He is at the NCA since Wednesday and has had batting practice sessions.
Fast bowler Zaheer Khan is also at the NCA. The Indian players are likely to leave for Hyderabad from here on Sunday.
The first Test against New Zealand starts on August 23 in Hyderabad.
