Hyderabad, Aug 18: India Test batsman VVS Laxman will announce his retirement from international cricket today, Saturday (August 18) at a press conference here at 4PM.

Reports had emerged from his hometown on Friday that he is contemplating to quit the game. Now it is official.
The two-match Test series against New Zealand will be his last.
The right-handed veteran of 134 Tests will get one final chance to enthrall his home fans in Hyderabad from August 23.
It is still not clear whether Laxman will bid adieu after the Test in Hyderabad or will play in the second Test in Bangalore from August 31.
