BCCI nominates Dravid for Padma Bhushan?

New Delhi, Aug 27: According to sources, 'The Wall of Indian Cricket', Rahul Dravid and opener Gautam Gambhir will be nominated by the BCCI for Padma Bhushan and Padma Sri awards respectively.

Having contributed to Indian cricket for 16 years, Rahul Dravid announced his retirement from international cricket in March this year would be the tenth cricketer to be honoured with Padma Bhushan.

It is learnt that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will be nominating Rahul Dravid and Gautam Gambhir for the third and fourth highest civilian awards this year.

Gautam Gambhir, who has been playing well for the nation in all forms of the game, would be nominated for Padma Sri award, the fourth highest civilian honour.
