Southampton, Aug 30: South Africa having won the second ODI against England by 80 runs, ousted England from No 1 position in ODIs, as they are currently the World's best team in all the formats of the game.
After ousting England from No 1 in Tests, Proteas went on to replace them as World's best ODI team after defeating them by 80 runs in the second ODI to fetch 124 points to reach the top of the table.
With 120 ranking points in Tests, 124 in ODIs, 130 in T20s, South Africa are currently the undisputed kings of the game as they just need to draw the series to remain at the top while England need to win the series to regain their No 1 position.
South Africa also stopped England's winning streak as they had won 10 matches in a row as Hashim Amla was just unstoppable in the second ODI which resulted in a win for South Africa as he also became the fastest to score 3000 ODI runs in the history of the game.
He reached the milestone 3000 within 57 innings, which was miles ahead of Vivian Richards' feat in 69 innings, who held the record until Amla's 150 which helped the South African to become the fastest player to achieve the feat.
Infact it was the highest individual score in the ODI matches between South Africa and England.
