Bangalore, Aug 31: Ross Taylor's seventh Test century helped New Zealand post 328/6 in 81.3 overs on Day 1 of the second Test at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on Friday.

# For the first time, a spinner opened the bowling attack for India in Tests

# R Ashwin and Pragyan Ojha have 60 wickets between them in four Tests against West Indies and New Zealand

# Kruger van Wyk recorded his maiden Test fifty

# Ross Taylor scored his 7th Test century and his third against India

# Flynn and Taylor added 107 runs for the 4th wicket, highest so far for New Zealand in this Test

# Kruger van Wyk, seems to be promising having scored an unbeaten 63, as he has added 82 runs for the 7th wicket with Doug Bracewell
