T20s:McCullum, Ajmal at top; Yuvraj 15th

Dubai, Sep 14: With a valiant knock on comeback, India's Yuvraj Singh re-entered the Top 20 of the ICC T20 rankings, as New Zealand's Brendon McCullum adn Pakistan's Saeed Ajmal top the list according to an ICC media release.

ICC announced the rankings ahead of the World T20 that is starting on Sep 18 in Sri Lanka.

The rankings were announced after the conclusion of all the series ahead of the T20 World Cup which includes India-New Zealand, South Africa-England and Pakistan-Australia.

With a brilliant 91 off 55 balls in Chennai, McCullum went on to rule the table, as he claimed the numero one position with 793 rating points.

Meanwhile Yuvraj Singh's valiant 34 off 26 balls, though did not win the match for India, has won him accolades as he has re-entered the top 20, after being placed at 15th with 625 points, followed by Gautam Gambhir at 16th with 619 points.

The stylish batsman who is returning to cricket after a gap of almost a year, showed that he was the same after recovering from the dreaded disease.

Suresh Raina is the highest placed Indian as he is ranked third in the list, with the next being Yuvraj and Gambhir at 15 and 16 respectively.

While the worrying factor is that none of the Indian bowlers feature in the Top 20, as Harbhajan Singh is ranked 21 with 574 rating points, while Irfan Pathan is ranked 30th with 517 points.

R Ashwin who recorded his career best in Tests, to be placed in the Top 20 of the Test rankings, doesn't feature in the top 20 list in ICC T20 rankings as he is ranked 42nd, with 430 points.

Despite awards row, Saeed Ajmal continues to rule the table with a career best 782 points, as Graeme Swann (Eng) and Johan Botha (SA) are plkaced second and third respectively in the ICC T20 rankings for bowlers.

Though Australia is ranked ninth in T20 team rankings, Shane Watson continues to dominate as he tops the list of all-rounders in T20s with 475 points, as there are no Indians in the Top 10.

The 2007 T20 Champions, India are also rated seventh in the list with their subcontinent rivals Pakistan placed at sixth and Sri Lanka at third with 108 and 119 points respectively.
