Hambantota, Sep 22: A clinical performance from South Africa saw them finish as group winners as they beat Sri Lanka by 32 runs in the final Group C tie at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota on Saturday.
Chasing 79 to win off 7 overs, after a delayed start, lost 2 early wickets, which saw Lanka struggling at 20/2 after 4 overs.
Having lost Dilshan and Jayawardene early, Sri Lanka struggled to score runs as the asking rate had crossed 24 runs per over.
