Pune, Sep 26: Australian pacer Brett Lee, who retired from international cricket recently echoed Shaun Tait and Glenn Mcgrath's opinion as he said Sachin knows when he needs to retire and it should be left to his discretion.
Brett Lee, who was in Pune for an event, said Sachin Tendulkar will know when to retire, and nobody should dictate terms to the legendary cricketer who has been in the field for almost 23 years now.
'Look, I think on a serious note Sachin will know when the time is right. I wake up one morning few months ago, I knew that time was right to retire," Lee said.
"I guess the thing I have found is that I am still playing cricket. I haven't retired. Period. I only retired from international cricket so guess I am lucky. But Sachin would know when the time is right," Lee added.
Former pacers Shaun Tait and Glenn McGrath too echoed a similar opinion, as they also defended the master blaster who has been struggling to score runs off-late.
Sachin was dismissed bowled thrice in the series against New Zealand, which also prompted Sunil Gavaskar and Sanjay Manjrekar to comment on the gap between the bat and the pad that was visible when he was dimissed thrice in a similar fashion.
