Who is to be blamed? Is it the entire team or the skipper? Why can't we accept India's failure? MS Dhoni's men aren't the best, cannot be successful all the time, let us accept the reality. Moreover, the team has not been performing well over the past few months, literally since India's World Cup triumph.
There are many reasons for India's ouster from the World T20 while we have given the reasons that cannot be ignored, as the team could be over-rated and termed as favourites since they won the World Cup in 2011, and have excelled in the sub-continent.
Dhoni's selection policy is definitely one of the factors for India's outser as the skipper failed to bank on experienced spinner when the team played against South Africa in a must-win tie, having known that the opponents were vulnerable against spin.
Further Team India's bowling looked fragile, as the team lacked a quality bowler, with 3-4 good bowlers, the team cannot play them in all the formats of the game, as the seniors had to groom the youngsters.
After a successful IPL stint, Manoj Tiwary, Ravindra Jadeja, Ashok Dinda, Ajinkya Rahane and others' performance was highlighted as a few also made it to the national team but were hardly given an opportunity to play, as the onus was on seniors.
With the team concerned about 2015 World Cup and life beyond seniors, there is a need to groom youngsters which also suggests the necessity of playing such players in T20s due to their IPL exposure.
Playing the shortest format of the game, youngsters would have been the first choice, while the selectors and the skipper banked on experienced legs, which also proved vital, as India had to face a few issues with fitness during the tournament.
Huge expectations and pressure could also be another reason for India's ouster. Moreover, it looked like MS Dhoni's team was over confident as they thought big names win matches which proved wrong as the team's top order failed miserably, since they heavily depended on a few players to perform in all the matches.
With teams like Australia, West Indies, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa, England competing in the tournament, Team India lacked preparation, as the team management assumed MS Dhoni's men are forever prepared, which also showed negligence on the team's part, which cost them dearly as they failed to make it to the semifinals.
