Lincoln (New Zealand), Oct 5: Captain Abhinav Mukund hit a half century as India A extended their lead to 249 runs after finishing the day at 119/2 in the second innings against New Zealand A here on Friday.
At stumps on the penultimate day of the four-day second unofficial Test, Mukund was unbeaten on 56. Unmukt Chand was dismissed for 44 while Naman Ojha fell cheaply for eight. Bad light brought an end to the proceedings at the Bert Sutcliffe Oval.
Earlier, Dean Brownlie scored a century to help the hosts declare at 424/7 in 100 overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 3/94 while Vinay Kumar had 2/83.
