Lincoln (New Zealand), Oct 6: Captain Abhinav Mukund hit a century as the second unofficial Test between India A and New Zealand A ended in a draw on the fourth and final day here at Bert Sutcliffe Oval on Saturday.
With both Tests drawn the two-match series ended 0-0 and the honours were shared.
Left-handed opener, Mukund remained unbeaten on 132 as India A declared on 246/4 in 64.1 overs. They had an overall lead of 376.
With not much time left in the match and faced with a target of 377, New Zealand finished on 0 for no loss after only three balls of play as bad light brought an end to the match.
It was a good game for Indian batsmen in New Zealand conditions. Ashok Menaria, Mandeep Singh and today Mukund scored centuries. Menaria and Mandeep had big tons and missed out on double hundreds.
India A 554/8 declared in 118 overs and 246/4 declared in 64.1 overs (Abhinav Mukund 132 not out, Unmukt Chand 44, George Worker 3/99) drew with New Zealand A 424/7 declared in 100 overs (Dean Brownlie 106, Hamish Rutherford 99, Sam Wells 69 not out, Luke Woodcock 58, Bhuvneshwar Kumar 3/94, Vinay Kumar 2/83)
