Bangalore, Oct 17: Australia's young fast bowling sensation Pat Cummins has revealed his intentions of playing in the Indian Premier League.
Cummins, who is currently playing for Sydney Sixers in the Champions League Twenty20 in South Africa, told CLT20 website that he would love to play IPL.
When asked whether he would like to play in IPL, he said: "Oh, absolutely. I'm only young and not only international experience but any kind of experience of playing in those conditions will come in handy. Also, playing with some of the guys there would be great. We'll have to wait and see what happens but I think playing in tournaments like the IPL would be one of the best cricket moves for me. I'd love to play it."
The 19-year-old righ-arm fast bowler has played one Test, five One Day Internationals and 11 Twenty20 Internationals so far. He made an impressive Test debut against South Africa in Johannesburg in November, 2011 where he took seven wickets to lead Australia to victory.
Cummins said Glenn McGrath and Brett Lee are his idols.
"The fast bowlers I grew up watching were Glenn McGrath and Brett Lee. So, subconsciously I looked up to those guys and tried to bowl like them as a kid. I've played a little bit with Brett and spent a bit of time with him. There are also other great guys around - Stuart Clark was around when I first started and he was great as well," he said.
