Jacques Rudolph (63) and Henry Davis (36) added 74 runs for the first wicket while Farhaan Behardein also scored an unbeaten 48 as Titans posted 172/4 in 20 overs.
Auckland Aces' trump card Azhar Mahmood failed, as his team witnessed a 59-run loss in the group match against Titans at Durban.
Mahmood conceded 32 runs off 4 overs, and grabbed a wicket of Henry Davids, while Bates and Mills got a wicket each, to restrict Titans to 172/4 in 20 overs.
In reply, Auckland struggled to get a good start as Lou Vincent, Guptill and Mahmood were dismissed cheaply. While Auckland's middle order also failed to score runs, as Kithcen (23), Grandhomme (14) and Adams (30) helped the team reach the three figure mark.
Auckland Aces' weakness was well exposed on Wednesday as teh team's batting depends on the top order, if they fail, the team's batting collapses, which happened against Titans.
