Bangalore, Oct 19: Former India left-arm spinner Bishan Singh Bedi has labelleed Highveld Lions spinner Aaron Phangiso a "chucker" and also blasted International Cricket Council (ICC) for trusting in "degrees" referring to bowlers being allowed to bend their bowling arms upto 15 degrees.
Bedi, who has time and again criticised and openly called former Sri Lanka offspinner Muttaiah Muralitharan as "javelin thrower" has again hit out at another bowler for throwing during the ongoing Champions League.
Bedi, who tweets from the handle @BishanBedi, while following ball by ball scores on ThatsCricket, made his comments on left-arm spinner Phaginso on twitter.
This happened on Thursday evening in the match between Lions and Sydney Sixers at Cape Town. Sydney won the match by five wickets to enter semi-finals.
When Phaginso was dismissed by Mitchell Starc for a duck, replying to ThatsCricket's wicket alert tweet (@thatscricket), Bedi wrote: "Aaron Phaginso-welcome to 'chuckers club'-more power to yur left-elbow-justify ICC's trust in 'degrees'!!!"
In another tweet, Bedi responding to a query, wrote "U r right-once ICC allowed monster to flourish-there was no stopping rest-wonder why 'chucking' is'nt legalised-hypocry ICC style?."
Phanginso in a game against Mumbai Indians in this Champions League, had dismissed Sachin Tendulkar bowled. On Thursday, he took 3/14 against Sydney.
