Delhi face Scorchers in must-win tie

Cape Town, Oct 20: After sharing points with Auckland Aces following a wash out, Delhi Daredevils look forward to register a win against Perth Scorchers at Cape Town on Sunday.

Delhi Daredevils after their massive win against Kolkata Knight Riders on Oct 13, have enjoyed a good break as they are playing Perth Scorchers on Sunday, almost after a week.

Delhi Daredevils are placed second, while Sunday's clashes will decide who will finish first and second, as there is a fight between Titans, Delhi Daredevils and Auckland Aces for the top two spots.

With Kolkata and Perth Scorchers placed third and fourth in the table all eyes are on IPL team Delhi Daredevils, as it is the only Indian team that has kept its semifinal hopes alive, as Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians are on the verge of crashing out, while Kolkata Knight Riders have already been eliminated from Champions League T20

Given the strengths and weaknesses of Delhi and Perth Scorchers, Delhi Daredevils have it in them to register a victory against the Aussie side.

Kevin Pietersen, Mahela Jayawardene, Ross Taylor, Virender Sehwag, David Warner, Unmukt Chand taking care of the team's batting, Morne Morkel, Umesh Yadav, Irfan Pathan constitute a decent pace attack that is enough to trouble Perth Scorchers.

While Shaun Marsh, Herschelle Gibbs, Simon Katich, MItchell Marsh are the key players for Perth.

If Perth Scorchers win tomorrow's tie, they would be placed third or fourth, depending on their net run-rate, as they would also get 6 points with a win.

Delhi Daredevils, in order to keep their semifinal hopes alive, need to win tomorrow's match against Perth Scorchers.

Kolkata Knight Riders Vs Titans

Kolkata Knight Riders, after crashing out of Champions League T20, look forward to play for pride as they take on group toppers, Nashua Titans at Cape Town on Sunday.
