Match abandoned; Delhi still at No 2

Durban, Oct 20: Another Champions League group match between Delhi Daredevils and Auckland Aces was washed out due to persistent rain at Durban on Friday.

For the third time in a row, evening game has been washed out due to rain. Interestingly all IPL team's games were abandoned, as they struggle to stay alive in the tournament.

After Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, now it was Delhi Daredevils who had to be content with 2 points, after their match against Auckland was abandoned without a single ball being bowled.

Since, Mumbai's match was also washed out on Thursday, they are hoping for Yorkshire to win the next match against Highveld Lions to keep their semifinal hopes alive as Mumbai and Chennai will be eliminated if Highveld Lions register another win.

With Delhi Daredevils being content with 2 points off the group clash against Auckland, Jayawardene-led team is still placed second in the table, with 6 points ahead of Auckland, behind Titans. But need to win the remaining matches in order to qualify for the semifinals.
