England to face India A in warm-up game

Mumbai, Oct 20: England will face India 'A' in their opening three-day warm-up game from October 30, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Saturday.

England, who will tour India for four Tests, two Twenty20 Internationals and five One Day Internationals, are expected to arrive in India on October 24. The first Test starts in Ahmedabad on November 15. England will play three warm-up matches before the first Test.

"The visitors (England) will play India 'A' at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai from 30 October 2012 to 1 November 2012. They will play Mumbai 'A' at the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai from 3 November 2012 to 5 November 2012," BCCI Secretary Sanjay Jagdale said in a statement.

However, England's opponents in the four-day game to be played at Ahmedabad from November 8 is not yet announced.

"The India 'A' team for the game at the Brabourne Stadium will be picked on Wednesday, 24 October 2012, at Chennai," the BCCI statement added.
