Centurion, Oct 27: Australia's Mitchell Starc who has been in outstanding form might find an IPL team soon as franchises are eagerly waiting to cash in on the opportunity and sign him in the next auction.
Starc has been the highest wicket-taker in Champions League which also suggests that IPL franchises would be eager to sign him in the next auction as the cricketer would cash in the benefits from 2014.
IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders' team director Joy Bhattacharya said he was impressed with Starc's performance in Champions League T20.
"Everyone is on the lookout for good international fast bowling because there aren't that many brilliant ones around," Knight Riders' team director, Bhattacharya, was quoted as saying by the Sydney Morning Herald.
Moreover, Bhattacharya further added saying that Mitchell Starc's inclusion will help any team, as he has the ability to generate bounce and swing, which is not favourable for Indian batsmen, as every team is supposed to play 7 Indian players and only 4 foreign players in the playing XI which could also benefit the team.
"Starc is a left-hander, which is always an added bonus. What happens in the IPL is a lot of Indian batsmen who wouldnt have seen a lot of high quality international pace and being left-handed makes it slightly more difficult. He has the height and bounce," he added.
With many South Africans and Australians ruling IPL, making merry playing for Indian clubs tend to enjoy more, it could also favour Mitchell Starc who has been highly successful as an all-rounder for Ausrtalia.
