Centurion, Oct 27: Sydney Sixers remain unbeaten in the tournament, as they played extremely well under pressure, as they snatched a last-ball win against Nashua Titans in the second semi-final at Centurion on Friday.
Titans posted a challenging 163/5 in 20 overs, after electing to bat in the second semifinal, as Henry Davids (59*), D Wiese (61*) ensured that they crossed 150.
Henriques, Pat Cummins, Starc were clueless when David Wiese was on strike as his quick-fire 61 off 28 balls helped Titans post 163/5.
Wiese and Davids added 81 runs off 6.3 overs to give Titans a chance to qualify for the Champions League T20 final.
Chasing a challenging 164 to win, Sydney Sixers also lost a couple of wickets after a good start, as they had scored 50 runs in the first 5 overs. Steve O'Keefe (32), Michael Lumb (33) and Nic Maddinson (20) gave Sixers the kind of start they needed as they posted 54 runs for the first wicket and 31 runs for the second wicket.
Henriques (28) and Rohrer (21) ensured that Sydney Sixers reached the target off the last ball of the innings, as they needed just 1 run off the last ball, with two wickets in hand.
It was an incredible semi-final, as Titans missed a few opportunities which could have resulted in their favour, if they had taken those catches and were more smart on the field, but that also meant that Sydney Sixers advanced to the final, play Highveld Lions on Sunday while Titans bowed out after a stunning performance.
