Mark Webber, who is associated with Red Bull since 2007, enjoys many outdoor pursuits which include cricket, tennis, road cycling, mountain biking other than motorsports.
Webber took a break from his racing gear, to play cricket as Gautam Gambhir was seen bowling to the F1 racer at Noida International University, as he said a trip to India is incomplete without cricket and delicious food.
"A trip to India is incomplete without the delicious food and a game of cricket," said Webber.
Further he also brought in a few similarities between the two sports, as hand and eye co-ordination is a must in both motorsports and cricket.
"Cricket as a sport requires a lot of concentration and hand-eye coordination, especially under extreme conditions, and so does Formula One," Webber added.
Moreover, Webber also added that his country has a lot of respect for India's batting legend Sachin Tendulkar.
"Sachin Tendulkar has just been an incredible cricketer and one of the most amazing sportspersons the world has seen. Australians have utmost respect for him. The government, the people, everyone respects him," the Red Bull driver said, who is currently at the fifth position on 2012 F1 drivers' standings while his team mate Sebastian Vettal is placed at the top with 215 points.
