"The Indian selectors will meet on Nov5 at Cricket Centre in Mumbai to pick team for 1st Test vs England to be played in Ahmedabad from Nov15," tweeted BCCI on Monday afternoon.
This will be the first Test squad to be announced by the new selection committee under the chairmanship of Sandeep Patil. The new panel is likely to retain the same set of players which did duty against New Zeland in two-match series at home.
MS Dhoni will continue to lead the side but the selectors might have a look at Yuvraj Singh in the warm-up game against England which starts tomorrow and then decide whether to include him or not in the squad. The number six slot might be filled by Suresh Raina or Yuvraj.
R Ashwin and Pragyan Ojha will be the frontline spinners for the series, which will have four matches, starting in Ahmedabad on November 15.
England players have already landed in India and will face India A in a three-day practice game from Tuesday.
