Mumbai, Nov 2: After announcing his retirement from cricket, Sourav Ganguly has been approached by Team Hyderabad, bought by Sun TV group for the sixth edition of Indian Premier League, according to reports.
According to a report on NDTV, Sun TV group has shown interest in signing the former Indian skipper and former Indian coach John Wright for Team Hyderabad, as the duo have registered many victories together.
After submitting the initial squad which included all the Deccan players, franchise also revealed that they were interested in roping in the former India coach and skipper Sourav Ganguly, who announced that he would not play IPL 6 as Pune Warriors also submitted their list of players which did not include the former skipper's name in it.
When asked Ganguly about the developments especially after he decided to quit IPL, the 40-year-old did not rule out that option as well. Instead said "Let's see, let's see what happens. We will cross that bridge when we get there," when asked by reporters.
If Sun TV Group can rope in these two giants, then they would definitely get the best out of their players, as we have witnessed India's success under the healm of John Wright and the Prince of Kolkata.
Whether Ganguly has retired from cricket or he is in front of the microphone, the Bengal player is surely in news all the time.
