IPL 6: Teams announce squads; 179 players retained
Sun TV group that bought Team Hyderabad submitted their initial squads for the sixth edition of IPL, and left out Darren Bravo, who was a part of the Hyderabad franchise in IPL 5, but did not play a single match as he preferred to play Test series for West Indies against England.
Seven West Indies players are currently named in the initial squads for IPL 6.
All the franchises have a salary cap of up to $12.5m to spend on their 2013 squad, which can contain a maximum of 33 players, including 11 foreign recruits.
While the trading window opens Nov 19, teams will get an opportunity to sign uncapped Indian players, including the 52 whose contracts were not extended.
