Mumbai, Nov 5: Little Master Sunil Gavaskar was honoured with the launch of the limited edition of 34 watches by Ulysse Nardin on Sunday, for his contribution to the game of cricket.
While the legendary batsman celebrated another milestone with the launch og the exclusive limited edition of 34 watches by Ulysse Nardin given in his honour, the cricketing fraternity, celebrities from Bollywood and many dignitaries were present at the event, to make it memorable for the Little Master.
The limited edition collection of 34 watches by Ulysse Nardin, was unveiled by Bollywood legend, Amitabh Bachchan, also a close friend of Sunil Gavaskar.
The limited edition of 34 watches symbolised Sunil Gavaskar's 34 centuries while each watch has the name of the city where the little master scored the century has been engraved on it.
Talking about the honour, Sunil Gavaskar said that he was overwhelmed with the honour.
"Couple of years from now I would complete 25 years since I retired from the game, and to be remembered almost 25 years later is overwhelming. It is a true honour to represent India," said Gavaskar.
The legendary actor of Bollywood and a close friend of Sunil Gavaskar, termed the little master as a great son of India for making the country proud, as he tweeted on his micro-blogging site after the event on Sunday.
"Just had the great honour of felicitating dear friend and sporting icon, Sunil Gasvakar... A great son of India... Privileged," the 70-year-old actor tweeted.
Celebrities who graced the occasion include Chhaya Momaya, Patrick Hoffman, CEO, Ulysse Narin, Sunder Chainani, chairman, Swiss Promotion Pvt. Ltd, Haresh Chainani, Nitin Chainani, Subhash Ghai, Adi Godrej, Sonali Bendre with Goldie Behl, Nita Ambani, Arti Surendranath.
Kapil Dev, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ajit Agarkar were also present at the event.
