Mumbai, Nov 5: Yuvraj Singh will get a chance to play a Test for India after almost a year as the national selectors included him in the squad for the first two England Tests. First Test starts in Ahmedabad on November 15. Harbhajan Singh and Murali Vijay have also made comebacks while Suresh Raina, S Badrinath and Piyush Chawla have been dropped. Ajinkya Rahane also finds a place in the 15-man squad.

The new selection committee, chaired by Sandeep Patil, picked their first Test squad here on Monday. The meeting was attended by India captain MS Dhoni.

Yuvraj's last Test appearance was almost a year back, against the West Indies in Kolkata in November, 2011. In recent times, he has proved his match fitness in the longer format by smashing a double hundred for North Zone in Duleep Trophy.

The left-hander pushed his case for Test selection by taking five wickets against England in tour game for India A and also scored a half century.

Harbhajan has not played a Test since August 1, 2011, on the tour of England.

The squad includes three fast bowlers, three spinners and nine batsmen.

India squad for first Test: MS Dhoni (captain), Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Cheteshwar Pujara, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, Pragyan Ojha, R Ashwin, Umesh Yadav, Ajinkya Rahane, Murali Vijay, Harbhajan Singh, Ishant Sharma.
