Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh), Nov 5: Virender Sehwag returned to form with a century for Delhi against Uttar Pradesh in Ranji Trophy on Monday. Sehwag made 107 on the fourth and final day. He was dropped on 70 by Suresh Raina. Sehwag's ton helped Delhi set a target of 155 for Uttar Pradesh.
Sehwag, who has not been in the best of form in recent times, proved what he is capable of, hours before the Indian selectors pick the squad for the first Test against England.
The Delhi right-hander, had on Sunday been in an injury scare after hurting his finger during fielding. But he shrugged off that injury worry with a fine batting display.
The pair of Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir was under scrutiny. They had not been clicking as they used to in the past. But with a hundred to show ahead of the Test series, Sehwag's critics have been silenced.
Due to the finger injury, Sehwag did not come out to open and batted at number six in Delhi's second innings.
