The Delhi opener who got injured in the Ranji Trophy Group B match against Uttar Pradesh after he put down Mohammad Kaif at the slips, to injure his index finger.
Talking about Sehwag's injurey Dahiya said it wasn't very serious as he has got stitches on his index finger.
"He got the cut yesterday (Saturday) while fielding. But it is nothing to worry about. He looks in good form. He batted well for an hour and a half," said Dahiya.
He further added saying that the Delhi opener would recover in a couple of days.
"Well, he needed time for his injury to heal. He was taking time out as a precaution and hence did not field during the Uttar Pradesh innings or open the Delhi innings. We let the other batsmen go in early as he had got a few stitches on his index finger," said Dahiya.
When asked about Sehwag's form and will he be available for selection, Dahiya said the Delhi opener had played well during his knock of 21 which included 3 boundaries.
"I am no one to comment on that but you saw him bat out there. He looked perfectly fine," he said.
