Brisbane, Nov 10: Rain played spoilsport on second day of the first Test between Australia and South Africa here at the Gabba on Saturday. Not a single ball was bowled and rain washed out entire day's play.
South Africa's efforts to press on the advantage from the first day was scuttled by rain. Umpire Billy Bowden and Asad Rauf, finally decided to call off play at 4PM local time after inspections.

South Africa were dealt a huge blow on Thursday as JP Duminy was ruled out of the remainder of this Test, series and was out of cricket for six months after rupturing his left Achilles tendon during warm-downs after day's play.
