Ranji: Jadhav hits 327, Laxman 120

Pune, Nov 10: Maharashtra's Kedar Jadhav scored this Ranji Trophy season's first triple hundred, against Uttar Pradesh on the second day of their Group B game in Pune on Saturday. Also today, VVS Laxman, Dinesh Karthik, Baba Aparajith registered centuries among others.

The right-handed Jadhav struck 327 off 312 balls as Maharashtra posted a mammoth 738/5 in 177 overs. Jadhav was unbeaten on 102 overnight. Jadhav's innings included 54 fours and two sixes.

In Chennai, Karthik hit 154 not out as Tamil Nadu declared at 538/4 in 168 overs. Aparajith struck his maiden first-class hundred.

Laxman, leading Hyderabad after retiring from international cricket, proved his class with another magnificent knock of 120.

In Chandigarh, Jiwanjot Singh scored his second successive hundred of the season for Punjab. The young opener, who had a double hundred on debut, today, hit 102 not out.
