Mumbai, Nov 22: India's latest pace sensation Umesh Yadav is a doubtful starter for the second Test match against England at Mumbai starting on Friday, since he is suffering from a lower back problem.
It is learnt that Bengal pacer Ashok Dinda will be replacing Umesh Yadav in the squad.
Yadav, who claimed four wickets in the first Test against England at Ahmedabad, underwent a scan and did not resume practice, which raised doubts about his fitness and his participation in the Mumbai Test.
Incidentally, Ashok Dinda was brought in as cover for Ishant Sharma who was ruled out of the first Test due to viral fever returned home and joined the Ranji team after being released by the Team management ahead of the first day's play at Ahmedabad.
Apart from Yadav, Gautam Gambhir, Pragyan Ojha, Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuvraj Singh missed the practice session on Wednesday. Though all the four were in the dressing room they did not undergo training.
While Gautam Gambhir was back after leaving to Delhi during the first Test against England in Ahmedabad, following the death of his grandmother, Pragyan Ojha, Ashwin and Yuvraj Singh skipped the practice session ahead of Team India's second Test against England.
