Mumbai, Nov 26: Selectors will meet on Tuesday to pick the Indian team for final two Tests against England, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said on Monday. India lost the second Test by 10 wickets on Monday.
Though the selection panel, headed by Sandeep Patil might not ring in many changes, there could be a change in the spin department. Harbhajan Singh, who had a poor game in Mumbai, might not play in Kolkata, the venue for third Test. India might not go in with three spinners again.
The third and fourth Tests are in Kolkata and Nagpur respectively. Third Test will be held at Eden Gardens from December 5 while the fourth and final Test is from December 13.
"The selection committee meeting is to be held tomorrow (in Mumbai) to choose the teams for the next two Tests," BCCI secretary and meeting convener, Sanjay Jagdale, was quoted as saying by PTI.
Captain MS Dhoni and coach Duncan Fletcher will also attend the selection meeting. The skipper has already hinted at not making many changes.
"Not much (changes). We have replacements but you don't chop and change or rotate the players just on the basis of one or two Test matches. You have to give them a fair run. That's what it's all about," Dhoni said after the team's 10-wicket loss in Mumbai.
