Kolkata, Dec 6: Alastair Cook struck his third century in as many matches to put England in control against India in the third Test at Eden Gardens on Thursday. Cook remained unbeaten on 136 as England made 216/1 on second day.
Cook, with his ton on second day, became the highest century-maker for England in Tests. This was Cook's 23rd hundred.
The left-hander also reached 7,000-Test runs milestone. He became the youngest to score 7,000 erasing Sachin Tendulkar's record.
