Nagpur, Dec 12: Team India skipper MS Dhoni on Wednesday, advised people to stop speculating on master blaster Sachin Tendulkar's cricket future ahead of the team's fourth Test against England at Nagpur.

Sachin Tendulkar has not reached the three-figure mark since Jan 2011 and has averaged a mere 22 this year, having collected 274 runs off 8 Tests which has led to retirement talks.

Don't speculate Sachin's future: Dhoni

Also facing the heat for his poor run in the last one year, Dhoni defended Sachin and said "When it comes to Sachin I feel the best thing to do is not to speculate. He has proved everybody wrong throughout his career. But I am not Sachin Tendulkar, may be when he comes for pc (press conference) you will have to ask him," atfer the practice session at Nagpur on the eve of the fourth Test against England.

Dhoni further added that Sachin Tendulkar's presence was very important in such situations as Team India is facing a threat from the opponents at home.

"He's the best man to have in the side in a game like this. The kind of experience he has and the kind of performances he has come up with over the years... he is someone we all look up to," Dhoni said.
