India win WT20 for the Blind, beat Pak by 29 runs

Bangalore, Dec 14: India emerge champions of the inaugural World T20 for the blind, after defeating 29 runs against Pakistan in the final on Thursday.

Pakistan elected to field after winning the toss as India posted a mammoth 258/8 in 20 overs with Keetan Patel top scoring with 98.

India added 81 runs in the last five overs to reach 258/8 in 20 overs.

Keetan Patel, a B1 player or partially sighted player scored 98 runs off 43 balls that helped India post a huge 258/8 in 20 overs.

In reply to India's 258/8, Pakistan managed only 229 as India emerged as champions of the inaugural edition of World T20 for the Blind held at Central College ground, Bangalore.

India won the inaugural World T20 for the Blind with much fanfare as over 4000 people were present at the ground to witness the moment.

the star player of the tournament Prakash Jayaramaiah was garlanded while India captain was handed the trophy.

Former cricketers Sri Lanka's Arjuna Ranatunga, India's Syed Kirmani were also present at the occasion, to hand over the momentos to all the teams.
