Being ranked No 1 in the ODIs and T20s, Saeed Ajmal has been the highest wicket taker in the shortest format of the game this year, with 23 wickets off 14 matches at an average of 14.08.
Moreover the rookie has claimed 31 wickets in 16 ODIs played in 2012, ranking fourth in the list of top wicket-takers, headed by Lasith Malinga (Sri Lanka) with 47 wickets (32 matches).
The 35-year-old has been the most mysterious bowler since his debut in 2008. He has 109 wickets in 71 ODIs and 69 wickets from 48 T20Is so far in the limited overs format of the game.
With India humiliated at home, Dav Whatmore feels it would not bother Pakistan, since the team always comes good in the ODIs.
Talking about the team's preparation ahead of India's ODI and T20 series, Dav Whatmore said Ajmal "will always remain a trump card" for Pakistan and "will always remain a threat."
Given India's dismal show against England spinners at home, it remains to be seen how they face the mystery bowler Ajmal on Indian pitches.
