Hobart, Dec 16: Tillakaratne Dilshan hit a century but he could not stop Australia from enjoying another day of domination in the first Test here on Sunday. Peter Siddle's five-wicket haul was the key in hosts' taking a 114-run first innings lead.
Dilshan made 147 but Sri Lanka were bowled out for 336. In the second innings, the hosts had reached 27/0 at stumps on the third day. Australia now lead by 141. In first innings, Australia declared at 450/5.
The right-handed Dilshan hit 21 boundaries in his 273-ball stay at the crease. Angelo Mathews was the other batsman who made useful a contribution with 75. However, rest of the batsmen failed against a fine spell of bowling from Siddle.
Siddle finished with figures of 5/54 in 25.3 overs. Australia lost Ben Hilfenhaus who suffered a side strain and walked off the field after bowling 12.2 overs.
Offspinner Nathan Lyon took two wickets for 76 runs.
Dilshan and Mathews had a partnership of 161 for the fifth wicket. But there were no other major partnerships apart from that.
