Tom Moody named coach of Sunrisers

Bangalore, Dec 20: Former Australian all-rounder Tom Moody has been named as Hyderabad IPL team Sunrisers coach, the franchisee announced on Thursday.

Moody, who has previously coached Sri Lankan international team and Kings XI Punjab IPL team, will take over as the coach for the next season of IPL. The Sun Risers will unveil their logo in Hyderabad on Thursday.

Sunrisers will also have recently retired Indian batsman VVS Laxman and former India captain Kris Srikkanth as mentors.

Sunrisers (@IPLsunrisers) tweeted: "Proudly announce @TomMoodyCricket as our coach. We are sure this partnership will scale us to high peaks."

Moody wrote on his twitter page, (@TomMoodyCricket) "Big day in Hyderabad launch of the new IPL franchise & logo, looking forward to this new challenge in my career."

Recently, Sun TV Network owned Hyderabad franchisee announced the new name. Sun bought the team after BCCI had terminated Deccan Chargers team, which was the previous Hyderabad IPL team.
