Mumbai, Dec 22: Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar yet to decide whether he is playing the final group A Ranji tie against Gujarat after Mumbai Cricket Association requested him to be a part of the Mumbai team for the last Ranji match starting Dec 29.
"The MCA has approached Sachin, and he sent me an SMS saying he will let me know of his decision one of these days," a top MCA official told DNA on Friday.
Having collected 14 points from six league games in the Ranji Trophy season this year, the Mumbai team has not registered an outright win yet.
Moreover, 39-time champions are placed sixth behind Punjab (32), Madhya Pradesh (20), Saurashtra (15), Gujarat (15) and Railways (14).
Tendulkar played the season opener from Nov 2-5 against Railways and scored 137 (136 balls) which included 21 boundaries and 3 sixes.It was the first Ranji Trophy tie in which Tendulkar played since 2009.
Since Mumbai need an outright win atleast in the last league match, MCA has requested the master blaster to make himself available, who will not be playing the T20 internationals against Pakistan on Dec 25, 27.
