Bangalore, Dec 26: For 37 overs of India-Pakistan first Twenty20 International on Tuesday night, there was no incident on the field. But suddenly, in the 38th and 18th over of Pakistan innings, things heated up. Ishant Sharma and Kamran Akmal exchanged words and umpires, Indian players had to separate the duo.
With Pakistan well in control of the game, which later they won by five wickets, Ishant charged towards Kamran who had just arrived at the crease and was beaten by the fast bowler's ball (4th ball of 18th over). It was not clear what prompted Ishant to extend his follow through after bowling and have a go at Kamran. It was started by Ishant and Kamran returned the favour.
Umpires S Ravi and S Shamsuddin, India players, led by MS Dhoni had to defuse the tension between the pair. In the end both shook hands and made up after the match. It was all in the heat of the moment incident.
