2012 ODIs: Sangakkara on top, Kohli 3rd

Bangalore, Jan 1: Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara finished on top of run-getters list for 2012 in One Day Internationals. The left-hander ended the calendar year with 1,184 runs, scoring three hundreds and six fifties.

2012: Clarke top Test batsman; Malinga top ODI bowler; Herath No. 1 Test bowler

The second spot is also taken by a Sri Lanka, Tillakaratne Dilshan (1,119 runs).

India's Virat Kohli has 1,026 runs and is third. There is another Indian, Gautam Gambhir in the top 10 list. The left-hander scored 685 runs in 2012.

Hashim Amla, who is at 10th has the best average among the top 10. The South Africa averaged 84.75. Kohli's 68.40 average is the second best.

Kohli had a great year, scoring five hundreds, the most among the batsmen in 2012.
