Sreesanth in India A squad

Mumbai, Jan 2: Paceman S Sreesanth, who has been out of international action for more than a year, will have a chance to make a comeback as he was named in the India A squad to face England in a One Day game in Delhi on January 6.

Sreesanth had injured his toe and was not playing cricket for more than year. He has now fully recovered and played Ranji Trophy games for Kerala. The 29-year-old has so far played 27 Tests and 53 ODIs for India.

"The All-India Senior Selection Committee has picked the India 'A' squad for the one-day game against England, at the Palam Cricket Ground, Delhi, on 6 January 2013. England will play their second warm-up one-day game, prior to the start of the AIRTEL ODI series, against Delhi, at the Ferozeshah Kotla Ground, Delhi, on 8 January 2013. This will be a ‘day-night' encounter, starting at 12:00 pm," BCCI secretary Sanjay Jagdale said in a media release on Wednesday.

India A squad will be captained by Tamil Nadu opener Abhinav Mukund.

England, who have returned home for Christmas after the four-match Test series, will be back in India this week to play five One Day Internationals, starting from January 11.

India A squad: Abhinav Mukund (captain), Murali Vijay, Robin Bist, Kedar Jadhav, Ashok Menaria, Rohit Motwani (wicketkeeper), Jalaj Saxena, Akshay Darekar, Ishwar Pandey, S Sreesanth, Rishi Dhawan, Paras Dogra, Mohit Sharma, Rasool Parvez.
