Viru to be dropped for Eng ODIs: Reports

"Sehwag is a big player and the selectors are hoping he will score runs at the Kotla. If he is dropped for the England ODIs, his place in the Test team will also be in question. The team needs an in-form Sehwag for the Australia Test series, especially at a time when there is no Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman," TOI quoted a BCCI source as saying.

Having disappointed the selectors in the on-going series, youngsters Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja are also under the scanner and might face the axe if they do not perform well in the third and final ODI against Pakistan on Sunday.

Since the selection committee is scheduled to meet after the match, the players get one final chance to prove their critics wrong else might have to face the axe as it is learnt that the selectors are disappointed the team's performance.
