Kochi, Jan 15: India's Shantakumaran Sreesanth will stay at home while Team India battles it out against England on Tuesday at Jawaharlal Nehru Cricket Stadium, the country's largest stadium, according to sources.
Though Team India playing at Kochi after a gap of almost 6 years, Sreesanth decided to stay at home rather than watching the Men in Blue in action at the stadium, according to his friend.
"He told me he won't watch the match and remain at home," the friend said.
It is learnt that Sreesanth's friend told IANS that he would not be watching the match at the stadium, and ensured that he met his teammates during their net session and at the hotel ahead of the second ODI against England.
Sreesanth has played only two ODIs at Kochi, against England (2006) and Australia (2007).
Having played the warm-up match against England failed to make it to the squad for the first three ODIs against England.
Though he has had a fairly good season, with 9 wickets from 3 Ranji matches after recovering from toe injuries, Sreesanth hopes for a ODI call-up soon.
